Athena Layne writes about weird worlds and what ifs. She read the works of Tolkien and Austen far too young and far too much, and she highly recommends others do the same.

 

She earned a degree in English from Evangel University and tried to do something responsible with it for a while, but she would be happy never to grade a paper ever again. Now she focuses on indulging her love for fantasy and her desire to put good stories out into the world. Good stories have destroyed her and built her anew time and again, and she’s glad to be a part of performing that necessary service for other people.

 

When she’s not writing, she is probably reorganizing her bookshelf, singing along terribly to musicals, or eating bread. Always, she is dreaming.
